Year 6 thoroughly enjoyed participating in Science Week. They learnt plenty about dissolving and changes in materials through different experiments and making observations.
In Year 6 we are encouraging children to become ‘Black Belt Multiplication Ninjas.’ Each times table will be given a colour and each time the children have learnt that particular times table they will be given a corresponding coloured badge. Each time they meet a new times table target they will be given the next level badge (a bit like belts in Karate). When the children meet the top level (black), they will become a times table coach and help other children to learn their times tables. There will also be a competitive element across the classes to see who can get the most amount of Black Belt Multiplication Ninjas - will it be Birch, Holly or Chestnut?
The cost of school lunches for the second half of term is £77.00 (£66 for those Year 6 pupils going to the Isle of Wight)
From 1st September 2017 we will not be accepting cash or cheques in school. Please register with School Gateway if you have not already done so.
