Year 6 had a lovely time on Carnival Day: they shimmied and sashayed during their dance session (where they learnt some Samba moves) and used these to create their own dance - Miss Kent was very impressed with their choreography skills! With Miss Mulholland, they did what they do best - make lots of noise - and composed some fantastic Carnival-style music using a range of percussion instruments. Their third activity was designing and decorating their Carnival t-shirts, which looked brilliant - Mr Peters was extremely impressed with their creativity (and with their tidying up abilities at the end of the session).
Here are a few photographs to show you how wonderful they looked!
Year 6 Home Learning
Maths Home Learning this term will consist of a mixture of revising topics (in preparation for the KS2 tests in May), and some problem solving investigations.
Topic and English Home Learning will mainly consist of research in preparation for project work after the KS2 tests, which we will inform Year 6 of, as and when it needs to be completed.
After half term, Year 6 will be required to learn the songs and scripts ready for their end of year production as part of their Home Learning tasks.
The cost of school lunches for the second half of term is £77.00 (£66 for those Year 6 pupils going to the Isle of Wight)
From 1st September 2017 we will not be accepting cash or cheques in school. Please register with School Gateway if you have not already done so.
