3 Cherry

Can you guess the answers to our jokes?

  • Do you know what a rock wants to be when it grows up?
  • What is a rock’s favourite kind of music?

  • Where do rocks sleep?

  • How do rocks wash their clothes?

  • What is a rocks favourite transportation?

  • Where does a rock like to go on holiday?

  • What is a rock’s favourite TV programme?

Wild Weather

This is a topic, which helps children to develop ideas about weather conditions around the world. The focus is the relationship between weather and tourism, but it is extended to include other forms of human activity.

Firstly, a BIG thank you

Many thanks to all the year 3 parents who join us on school visits. We are sure you will agree that it is fantastic to see all the children so enthusiastic about their learning and many parents say they learn a lot too!

 Wild Weather

3 Cherry certainly had fun during their visit to the National Maritime Museum at Greenwich including exploring the Great Map while working hard researching the different climates around the world.

Once Upon a Time

This theme is launched by a ‘Jack and The Beanstalk’ drama session. In small groups, children imagine following their friend, Jack, up his beanstalk and discovering what is really at the top! Children draw and use language creatively to describe the giant.

In groups of 4, children use parts of their own drawings as plan and inspiration for creating a large-scale group painting of a giant. On lining paper, they draw around the tallest member of their group and then paint it collaboratively to create a new giant!
