4 Cedar

Year 4 have enjoyed  being Vikings for the day. They met Sven Longlegs who told them all about his life and what it was like to be a Viking. They learnt to row a Longship and tell the direction they were rowing by using a Sun Crystal.

Today 4 Cedar have used their knowledge of Scratch to use a computer coding application called Crumble. The children have coded the components to make a vehicle move around a track.  The enthusiasm and ideas was amazing.

Dear Parents,

I would very much like to introduce myself as your child's new teacher for the year. I am really looking forward to meeting you all at the Parent Consultation meetings very soon.

I have explained to the children about expectations for this year, but thought I would take this opportunity to update you.

Spellings and homework will remain the same schedule as already set with regards to when they are given out and when they are due in.

I am encouraging the children to read each night and I will take in and look at reading records weekly. It is important that the children read for pleasure. If your child finds it difficult to find books they enjoy and so avoids reading, please let me know and I will do my best to introduce some new authors to them.

Lastly, I would like to invite you all to 4 Cedar's class assembly next Friday 22nd November, where you will see how much learning they have already done.

Kind Regards

Miss J Lugg.
