Extra-Curricular Clubs

We are very lucky to be able to partner with a number of excellent providers who come into school before school, during lunchtime and after school to deliver high quality sport and extra-curricular activities. These include Bromley Youth Music Trust, Code Camp, Sportacus, Le Club Francais, Take 1 Acting and Harlequins Performing Arts who provide the children with the opportunity to stay active and have fun whilst also developing their skills and uncovering new talents. These clubs are supplemented by in-house opportunities such as the School Band and Singing Club.

There are many opportunities for our pupils to represent the school in a variety of events.  In recent years we have competed against other schools in football, tag rugby, cross country, athletics and netball. As well as sorts, children can also represent the school in a range of other ways, particularly through music and The Arts. In addition to performing in school at a range of events such as the annual Carol Service and Summer Concert, the DWJS Band and Singing Club have also performed at external events like the Bromley Schools Prom.

The school also runs a number of successful initiatives which enables the pupils involved to develop a range of leadership skills, including Junior Travel Ambassadors, Pupil Ambassadors and a Play Leaders scheme that runs on identified lunchtimes.  This scheme allows the Year 6 pupils to organise and lead games for the Year 3 and 4 children.  It is a great opportunity for all involved to work together and learn leadership and co-operation skills.
